Woman laying on heart pillow

Within a couple of days of losing Tommy, ancestors and teachers started sitting with me during my dreams at night and infusing me with their wisdom. I had no idea what to make of it.

Some of the faces I recognized; most of them I didn’t.

Some nights I felt like I had listened to these teachers for hours. Other nights, it felt like they had dropped in for seconds to deliver a quick message.

Today, they visit me less frequently, but the experience when they do is still the same– they repeat their words—three times—prompting me to wake up and write them down.

To my surprise, I have accumulated nearly a dozen dream journals over the past six years documenting all that I’ve learned in the middle of the night. This is why I often say I’m on a journey of healing and transformation twenty-four hours a day… literally.

I wish you could all be with me in my dreams to experience firsthand what I do and validate what it is I see. But since you can’t, I want to share with you from time to time, some of the more profound lessons my dreams have taught me.

I know some of you dream the way I do, and I love hearing your stories because it gives me hope that I haven’t completely lost my mind. For those of you who don’t dream at all (or can’t remember your dreams…), I hope you get a kick out of the possibilities.

So, without further ado, here’s a quick but profound teaching recently given to me in a dream I had on May 31, 2024. It was very specific to women, but I woke up with the distinct impression that it applies to all human beings regardless of gender.

In this dream, a woman with dark hair was applying makeup on a small group of women—as a service—even though her real job was in “technology.” When I asked her why she was putting makeup on other women she said:

“That’s what women do. We transform and progress things forward. It’s not what women “do” that matters. It’s the progress they create while they are doing it. That is the process of transformation.”
